How was your day?
Maybe everything you were hoping for came true, everything you were working for paid off, and more. That’s good. Great, even. Maybe you were in the middle of a mess that you did not foresee, had too much on your plate, or just had an off day. Is that bad? Some would say so. I, on the other hand, don’t.
Everything you go through on a particular day is just a series of events. But it is also your reaction to these events – your recoi. A lot of times, you have to stop analyzing the situation and start analyzing yourself.
Every situation you come across – it’s not unlike a gun. After it’s fired, it leaves you in recoil. This recoil may hurt if you don’t know how to handle it, but only if you fire it will you learn how. Sometimes the recoil might last longer than you thought, it might make you scared to fire again. But hey, it’s just a matter of learning how to handle one recoil, and you can apply the same concept to every other situation.
However, you don’t always end up in the same situations, and you don’t always handle it the same way. Life is like that. But what you learn will no doubt help you. Yeah, different guns have different recoils, but a little experience beforehand doesn’t hurt – even if it’s with the wrong kind of gun. At least you know not to keep the gun close to your face.
In the end, it’s your choice to lick your wounds and say I’m never going back there, or be a badass and pick up another gun. One of the two will make you feel good and you will be a better person because of it. I won’t tell you which one – you should probably know what I’m getting at by now.
This will leave you in a recoil too. You choose what to do with it.
