The pitter patter outside my window,
Continues with all its might,
Is it saying to me,
Oh, won’t you come and see this sight?
The sky lights up,
And then it roars.
Like it could bring us down,
On all fours.
Yet it doesn’t seem so fearsome,
And I could listen to it all night.
Looking at the midnight sky,
So dark and yet, so bright.
Problem? What problem it was I wonder,
As I let the breeze fly me to a different time,
Where there is nothing to fear,
Whether life hands you a lemon or a lime.
On this night,
Why would you need wine?
When it’s charming touch,
Is sending chills down your spine.
Step outside, take it all in,
For here it is now.
Who can say when,
You’ll stumble upon this again, and how.
