The one glance in a crowd,
The hidden smile behind an angry face,
The silence in the midst of a conversation,
The tiny smear of food on the lip,
The slight nudge while on a walk,
The one line in a book,
The rhythmic sound of water dripping,
The light ticking of a clock,
The birds in the sky flying in perfect symmetry,
The rays of the sun shining through a tiny gap,
The one potato wedge in a pile of fries.
Yeah, I notice them. And I think they’re perfect.
They might seem like little things with no real significance, but it is only through your little eyes that you see this massive world. All it takes is a small gesture to turn your day around.
It’s all in the little things.
Of course expensive gifts and huge gestures mean something. But the little twinkle you see in their eyes after the gesture is what make these things worthwhile. I mean, just imagine the world’s most spectacular piano with no one to play it.
